An Introduction to Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing Disorders: Coaching Caregivers Through Mealtime Routineswith Cindy Esquivias MS, CCC-SLP Feeding related concerns are among the most common issues in preschool children; therefore, it is critical that early intervention providers know how to support caregivers dealing with a pediatric feeding disorder (PFD) or swallowing disorder. This presentation will provide an overview of common etiologies, environmental impacts, as well as common misconceptions regarding feeding and mealtimes. Learn how feeding specialists distinguish picky eaters versus problem feeders while coaching caregivers to promote carry-over during mealtimes. Learning Objectives:
