Sleep Intervention: Advanced Information Gut-Health and Sleep: How Are They Connected?with Courtney Palm, LMFT This advanced pediatric sleep training examines the gut-brain connection and how that influences regulation of sleep for young children. Attendees will learn about nutritional building blocks that are necessary for optimal sleep and how those needs change within the first three years of life. We will explore food intolerances and how those connect to malabsorption of nutrients and irregular bowel movements. Finally, the training will offer strategies for improving gut-health and how to identify when to recommend diet changes to parents. Objectives
Currently, Courtney works for Early Intervention Colorado providing developmental assessments and sleep intervention to children with developmental delays. She also worked with Children’s Hospital Colorado in the Postpartum Depression Clinic providing attachment work with moms and babies in addition to sleep support.
