Hope and Healing: Developing a Resilient Response

with Anita Osborn, M.A., P.P.S., L.E.P.
Tuesday, December 8, 2020 | 12:00pm - 3:00pm
Virtual ZOOM Event

These are exceptionally trying times and many of us are combatting daily assaults of adverse circumstances. Likewise, we work with children and families who are struggling with intersectional challenges from multiple directions. Science has revealed much about stress and trauma…and sheds light on Hope and Healing. This presentation will address what we need to know about the science of Resiliency in order to survive and thrive.
Participants will:

  • Learn what resilience is not in order to learn what it is and what it requires.
  • Understand the statement that a “Resilient response is not based on ‘luck’ or strength of character.”
  • Be able to identify the single-most important factor in resiliency.
  • Become familiar with strategies for promoting resilience in themselves and the children they serve.
  • Understand the importance of system/community wellness.
