The goal of the project is to center the voices and experiences of caregivers and educators to tell a story about the world of early childhood. The prompt is: Show us — What is important to know about your experience as a caregiver or educator? In Year 2 of the project, we want to center the experiences of those who care for kids across Southern California. The importance of caregiving is front and center as the COVID-19 pandemic has left many families scrambling to care for their kids without their usual support systems. We’re looking to include a broad range of caregivers, including educators, home child care providers, nannies, and friends, family, and neighbors who have stepped up to care for kids during this time.
