This training will examine how trauma impacts the different areas of development in the first five years of life and how those delays interact with each other. Attendees will learn how to assess the trauma impact and create a treatment plan.
We will also discuss the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to treatment and how to team with different disciplines. Finally, we will explore alternative treatments to trauma compared with current evidence based practices.
Participant Objectives:
- Attendees will review how trauma has global impact to development to better evaluate a child’s treatment needs.
- Attendees will learn how different disciplines approach trauma treatment to incorporate multidisciplinary strategies into a treatment plan.
- Attendees will discuss alternative treatments for trauma and compare with evidence practices to determine which options are best for each child.
