Vaccine Updates:
Department of Developmental Services released a department directive to advise Regional Centers to contact consumers/caregivers ages 16 and up who are eligible to receive a COVID vaccine starting March 15th.

It means that you (consumer) may get a letter from your Regional Center with your name on it .You may also be contacted by the Regional Center with information about where you can get a vaccine, how to schedule an appointment, and options for assistance including transportation. Bring this letter to your appointment to prove your eligibility. For additional information click here

Celebrating Disabilities Awareness Month:
In March 1987, Ronald Reagan issued a Presidential Proclamation that called upon Americans to provide the “encouragement and opportunities” necessary for people with developmental disabilities to reach their potential. Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month (DD Awareness) promotes the inclusion of people with developmental disabilities in all areas of community life and raises awareness about the barriers that people with disabilities still face in connecting to the communities in which they live.
